Market conditions have proved successful for data centres over the past 12 months. The next year is likely to see legislative action over carbon emissions and Investment in Green significantly increase. Outsourcing by enterprises will be sustained and market entry by new players in southern Europe and North Africa will offer competitive options : power remains a critical issue and location based offerings are likely to increase internationally. Investment too in the data centre sector appears set to rise, as cloud services gain further enterprise and government customers. DCE 2010 assesses all these developments in depth.
